LASER THERAPY
-
What it does
It helps your body heal faster! K Laser therapy uses specific infrared and near infrared laser light to transfer energy to tissues in the body. Our body then uses this energy on a cellular level to increase cellular function and speed up tissue repair.
-
How it works
These pain-free, K Laser treatments create an optimal healing environment by increasing circulation, and drawing oxygen, water, and nutrients to the damaged area. As the injured area returns to normal, pain is relieved, and function is restored.
-
Common Benefits
Laser therapy is proven to biostimulate tissue repair and growth. This treatment has been used since the 1970’s to accelerate the healing process by reducing inflammation, swelling, scar tissue formation, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain.
FAQs
-
This treatment is very mild and not painful, in fact, there is little to no sensation at all during treatment.
You might feel a mild, soothing warmth or tingling.
However, areas of pain or inflammation may be sensitive briefly before pain reduction.
-
A typical treatment takes anywhere from 4 to 8 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.
-
You may feel improvement right away. Many patients experience pain reduction after their first treatment. This isn’t always the case, and it may take several treatments before you can tell a noticeable difference, but that doesn’t mean your condition isn’t improving. Each treatment is cumulative, and results are often felt after 3 or 4 sessions.
-
Acute conditions may be treated daily, especially if the patient is in significant pain. More chronic problems respond better when treatments are given 2 to 3 times a week, tapering to once a week or every other week, with improvement.
-
This depends on the condition being treated. For some acute conditions, 4 to 6 treatments may be sufficient, while chronic conditions may require 6 to 12 (or more) treatments. Conditions like severe arthritis do well with ongoing periodic treatment to control pain.
-
